Day 6

Today we went back to our day 1 video which was exciting for me because I thought I would have it down knowing the moves and having done it before but I didn't. I will admit I did a little better than before but not much. This one really tests my muscles and I'm glad but I'll have to say I'm the most tired after this one and pure cardio. I'm sure it's only going to get worse. Today is my last "insanity" workout day they give you one day off but I think I will work on some of the moves I'm struggling on for day 7 and then do another lighter video just to keep the fitness in there. I'm so proud that my hubby and sister are sticking to it with me. It really is helping to keep me motivated as well knowing that we have a workout "group". Week 1 almost done only 8 more to go (I know that's not 2 months but they threw in an extra recovery weeks so it's 9 weeks total).

Day 5 - Pure Cardio

I think the title should say enough. Pure Cardio, was a really hard workout probably the hardest one compared to my day 1 video. This video was really intense and really pushed me to my limits. I definitely had to take more water breaks than were given and my heart rate was crazy so I knew when to stop myself and take a breath. This workout came just as my muscles along with my hubby's were feeling better. We felt almost 100% recovered and then pure cardio came in. It was a nice good workout though I love the challenge of it and the fact that it really is cardio and working out my whole body. I really dislike stretching at the end, by that time I feel done and want to sit down and relax but I know it's important so like he says don't skip a stretch...I don't!

Day 4

Day 4 is done and it was Cardio recovery. My legs needed it.
Although I was real excited for the recovery one thinking it was going
to be easy but it wasn't. I still got sweaty and I still couldn't
finish some of the moves. But I am getting better. On to day 5.....

Day 3

Yay day 3 is done and only 57 more to go. Seems like such a long time
but it is well worth the wait. TodayI go up early and worked out Day
3's video with my sis in law and I. It is nice having someone else to
work out with. Today was hard but day 2's workout seemed harder to
me. After I worked out I watched Miguel do his and it was nice to
cheer him on because he wanted to stop early. But he pushed himself
to finish as best he could just as me and Diana did earlier. I know
we will get better. We are all sore and looking forward to day 7
which is a day of rest :-).

I'm going to say that I NEED to get better on push ups I CANNOT do a
push up so my goal is to work on that in between videos.

Ready for day 4....

Day 2

Today was day 2 but was the first day of actual workouts. Don't get me wrong the fit test was a workout on its own testing me on where I'm at physically but this was a REAL workout. Today's workout consisted of some suicide jumps or "burpies" as I've heard other people refer to them. Some football moves that I've seen my son do to shape up and a lot of high intensity workout. I tried my hardest on each of the moves and had Miguel cheering me on in the background but I had to stop early on almost all of them. I think the hardest ones for me other than the push up ones are the ones where I have to squat down and jump up. I was just getting over being sore from my earlier workouts in the week and today put me right back into that sore mode. But it's good I guess it means I'm doing something right. No pain....no gain! Looking forward to a new DVD tomorrow.

Day 1 - Fit Test

Wow, do I have my work cut out for me. This morning was day 1 and just the fit test of insanity which is still 30 minutes long and a variety of challenging moves. It's meant to see where you started at and then you do that every 2 weeks to make sure you're improving. I started out really well with the kicks and jumps but the ones where you have to squat and pop up that really tried my leg muscles. The ones I failed on...well shouldn't say failed but did not do as high number wise on were of course the push up ones. I cannot do a push up unless I'm doing it "girly style" so trying to do a real one and add doing a scissor move with my legs while doing it needless to say didn't work out so well. However, I had Miguel here cheering me on for the first few moves until he had to leave for work. It was tough and I can feel the areas it worked out I'm looking forward to tomorrow. On day 15 I'll let you all know my numbers to see if I have improved.

Insanity is here!!!!

Ok, I'm a little impatient and I'm not embarrassed to admit it. I ordered the Insanity workout on Monday the 11th, and I've been tracking its status every day. When I saw that it was on its way to its final destination yesterday I was MORE than excited. I figured it would take 5-7 business days. Needless to say I was so surprised when my niece said the mailman is here in our driveway after only 3 days. That is not normal for us here in Ramona, our mailboxes are out on the main street and we live a little further back. So I KNEW what it was and I ran out there. My kids were wondering why I was so excited and when I told them it was my workout video they kind of giggled as to why I was excited for that. I'm so glad that Insanity is here, although I must admit it is intimidating reading all the material and then watching the fit test video. I feel like I'm going to have a slow start but am so excited to see those results get better and better. So I guess you could say I'm intimidated but excited and ready for the challenge. I even talked my sister in law to doing Insanity with Miguel (hubby) and I. She's going to order her own copy next week and work out with us until she gets her copy. I'm going to take my photos and my measurements tonight and the workout starts tomorrow morning 5:30am. Check back daily for updates.....
